With a distinction that Boston actually has some sport teams. I mean teams that can actually win.

Interesting...only four of those 13 cities have all four sports teams in their city limits.

Of these metropolitan areas, the only ones with a team in each sport that plays within the city limits of its principal city are Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, and Philadelphia.

However, the baseball team that plays in Denver is called the Colorado Rockies and the hockey team is the Colorado Avalanche. I believe this was an attempt to get the whole state involved in the team. They are newer teams than the Broncos and the Nuggets.

Off of that list, I'd go with Denver.

I have season tickets for the Denver Broncos and drive 200 miles round trip for every home game. They have been sold out for my entire life and thousands of people do the kind of drive I do to every home game. In fact KOA, Broncos radio network, covers more of a region then any other station that covers other NFL teams!

Can many teams say they have that kind of fan base?

Well, just to put this out their, in 2000 St. Louis was named America's Best Sports City by Sporting News. Busch Stadium is always packed during Cardinal games, and the team won the World Series in 2006 and has the second most World Series titles of all time. The Blues are currently making a nice playoff run and most home games have been sell-outs. The Rams won the Super Bowl in 1999 and were the best team in the NFL from 1999-2001 (modern day NE or IND, but more dominant). Now of course the franchise is struggling but St. Louis still is a great sports city.

Te only reason the Broncos have such a large fan base is because Denver is so geographically isolated. Utah has the Jazz, but the other surrounding states like Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, and New Mexico don't have any major league sports teams to speak of.

If you want loyal fans, then look no further than Green Bay. The waiting-list for season tickets at Lambeau is over 30 years. My grandpa left his spot in line to my aunts and uncles when he died in 1992, and he had been on the waiting-list since the 60's. We finally got our season tickets in 1998.
