Not sure where Cleveland stands but seems like things have calmed down. Weather has been on the hot side; but murders lower than normal. In the past week, maybe a couple in the city but seems like Akron and the burbs have been the spots where it's happening

Looks Like New Orleans would go back to their post katrina status as "nation's murder capitol"

I wonder if St Louis is either doing better or worse than 2021 though?

81 so far, so I believe it's better than 2021? Per 100,000 it's ~27.73.

That's lower than NOLA which is at 36.12 per 100k, or Baltimore (170 as of 6/23) at ~30 per 100k.

tl;dr: NOLA is going crazy so far...

If you include all US cities with 100K+ people New Orleans probably won’t be the murder capital despite how bad it is in New Orleans right now. Jackson Mississippi will probably take that spot again as the city is once again on pace for a murder rate right around 100 per 100K (1 in 1,000 people).

Baltimore is at 170. 32 people killed so far in June.

New Orleans is having a horrible year good lord.
