Steelton and Middletown are suburban boroughs/cities with substantial/high(in the case of Steelton) black populations not in the mentioned SD’s. Hershey is also in the area and of course has family friendly offerings there.
Also, in terms of a private option, Bishop McDevitt is a pretty popular option. It is known for its Football program(LeSean McCoy and Rickey Watters went there). https://www.bishopmcdevitt.org/mcd/
At the school district level, here are school districts in the region where at least 20% of the residents are black and the black median household income is 6 figures.
School districts in NJ such as West Orange, South Orange-Maplewood, Teaneck, Piscataway and Lumberton Township come very close in either category or both categories(Piscataway). Lumberton misses by percentage and the other by income.
So, this may give some idea in terms of some suburbs to look into.
Here is an article about Malverne Schools from 2016 that highlights the steady improvement academically in the school, which has generally been a solidly performing school: https://educationpost.org/a-long-isl...a-closed-door/
Another thing to consider and it is something 908Boi touched on in the Black cultural nodes thread, but Essex County NJ, which is where Newark is located is a county of almost 800,000 people and 42% black. https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/essexcountynewjersey
Harrisburg is a majority black city and the surrounding suburbs have a significant black population. Susquehanna Township, Swatara Township, Lower Paxton Township, Steelton and Middletown all have strong black communities.
For other areas that haven't been mentioned, Trenton NJ has a substantial black middle class on its outer West Side and in Ewing Township and even Hamilton and Lawrence Townships. The metro area, which is Mercer County is 21.5% black.
In the Providence area, Cranston, North Providence, portions of the outer neighborhoods to the NE/North/NW in Providence and the outer Eastern and SW portions of Pawtucket on the RI side and places in the Bristol County MA portion such as Attleboro and Taunton are areas with a visible black population that is middle class.
In the Worcester area, Leominster and the outer North Side of Worcester are a couple of areas with a visible/decent sized black middle class.
In the Springfield MA area, the outer East/SE portion of Springfield and parts of Amherst, West Springfield and Chicopee.
In the Binghamton NY area, parts of places such as Endicott, Vestal and Binghamton's West Side(south of Main Street).
East Stroudsburg PA is another area where the black median household income is $54,009 and is 14.5% black. Some of this is due to movement into the area from NYC.

For the Philadelphia 76ers fans, Tobias Harris grew up in the Half Hollow Hills SD(went to HHH West for a while) and Danny Green grew up in the North Babylon SD.
In terms of private schools, some may go with high school options like Holy Trinity, Bishop Kellenburg, The Waldorf School of Garden City, etc. for instance, the previously mentioned Harris ended up graduating from Long Island Lutheran, which is known for its very good basketball program and Green graduated from St. Mary's in Manhasset. A school such as St. Anthony's in Huntington is another one some go with, especially in part due to its very good Football program. A few may go with Chaminade or St. John the Baptist, among others as well.
Also, for the OP, would you be open to areas similar to where you are now in terms of infrastructure or look for something different?
Rampant discrimination prevented the establishment of a black middle class in the Providence MSA.
New Bedford MA July, 1970. THe men say they go to school, get certified for trade and cannot hold the job or they are offered pitiful wages. They say the mayor is in on it. They say they're gonna "deal with them." The women are trapped in a vicious cycle of "welfare rolls or menial jobs at the local mills", which are slowly closing.
At the same time, the black middle class was booming in the midwest because they were receiving full and reasonable wages and able to build off that and attract other black people to the area.
