"Luxury retail store Hermès will welcome shoppers back to its Near North Side location on Monday (Oct 30). The retailer is reopening after undergoing a year of renovations to expand the space at 25 E. Oak St. . . . . . With an expanded storefront, the high-end retailer plans to target wealthy shoppers who find themselves with more disposable cash since the pandemic . . . . . . The store's reopening further strengthens the Oak Street corridor, which is home to other luxury brands"

Oak Street and nearby streets in the Gold Coast continue to do well, in contrast to Michigan Avenue which seems to be in transition.

The whole Buckhead Village concept should have been put in north Midtown for sure. Some access to AS and museums would have been there.

Maybe they could redevelop Phipps into mixed use urban and move that retail to a Midtown north village.

Unfortunately, retail has struggled in Midtown and the envisioned “Midtown Mile” never became a thing.

It should have all been concentrated at Phipps/Lenox. Atlanta cannot support multiple luxury retail corridors. Generally the same shopper at Buckhead Village is going to be at Lenox/Phipps which is why we are seeing all of those upscale retailers at Buckhead Village pack it in and head to Phipps, which is where they should have been in the first place.

UK luxury brand Sunspel is opening a store in San Francisco, well, they are calling it SF but it's actually in Marin County.

They also have 2 locations in NYC.

Impressive: NYC has 3 of the top 4 spots; Miami MSA has 7 of the top 30.

Shocked that no Euro district (London, Paris, Milan) on the list. Also, where is South Coast Plaza (OC, CA)—cannot be because it is a mall since a few others on this list are.
