If you live outside Northern Virginia, which really isn't that different from Raleigh/Durham and Charlotte these days
They are still very very different. Anyone who has been to either area would know that. Lets jut say that NoVa is a nicer, better version of the research triangle. It is wealthier, healthier, more educated, stronger economy, more diverse, more developed, etc.

And wayyyyyy more expensive, congested, rude and filled with wayyyyyy too many type A self-entitled jerks running amok.
Pick your poison.
more expensive because it is a more desirable place to live. NC traffic is just as bad as NoVa traffic from my experiences, & the rude & self entitled is a huge stereotype that is very inaccurate so I assume you don't know what you are talking about

Guess again. And I don't live in NC, but I do have to go to DC & NoVa regularly for business.
The stereotype is sadly real. I have witnessed so many public meltdowns by these types, I've lost count. I have experienced some of the absolutely rudest behavior of anywhere I've ever been in this region, including being cussed at for holding a door open for someone.
You can have it, and all of my neighbors from the area are grateful they got out.
Tysons isn't urban, but there are some good plans to move it in that direction somewhat in connection with the silver line extension.
How is Tysons not urban?
