That is what I have heard too. My friends moved to Honolulu and they said the workplace culture is ridiculously laid back and slow. Life is a beach for them there.

Texas cities have a military like work ethic where excuses aren't tolerated. They're nicer about things than say NYC but three strikes and you're out.

I prefer CA and LA in particular where business is sloooow by comparison. It makes work life more tolerable but service sucks.
