I would live in Boston because it is not in Texas.
I may not like the cold or snow but I'd rather be in Boston than the south (or Texas for that matter). Also I'd be close to NYC and NJ. Boston just seems so much better imo.

Questions:
- Which one would you rather live in? And why? I'd rather live in Boston, it's one of my favorite cities in the US. To be fair, although Dallas barely won any categories, it's a good place and not as inferior to Boston as my answers may suggest.

I've never lived in Boston, just visited. I've lived in Big D. According to my list, they tie, but if I had to choose to move to one of them, I would choose Boston for it's history, scenery, quaintness and proximity to NYC and Cape Cod/Nantucket/Martha's Vineyard--some of the most amazing places I've ever visited. Texas just doesn't have anything like that. Plus I like Massachusette's liberal/accepting attitudes. Of course, Dallas is extremely liveable and inexpensive, thus their population explosion. But give me Boston/East Coast anyday over Texas. (BTW, if there was a skyline category, Dallas all the way! Is it just me, or does it seem like no one talks about what an awesome cityscape Dallas has?)
- Education: Boston, like when the Death star got blown up...that is Dallas in this category
- Parks: Boston, but Dallas should get some good ones soon
- Waterfront: Boston, Dallas is the Sahara in comparison
- Nightlife: Boston, like the bar scene
- Safety: Boston
- Downtown activity: Boston
- Shopping: Boston, Dallas is close though
- Diversity: Tie
- Housing stock: Boston
- School systems (K-12): Boston
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities): Boston see Star Wars Death Star
- Mass Transit: Boston, landslide here
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?): Boston several
- Pace of life: Boston, prefer east coast pace to TX
- Quality of life: Boston
- Cost of living: Boston, you pay for what you get and Boston packs a punch. If you wanted to live totally dirt cheap in the metro then I guess you could go with Dallas.
