The Sixth Boro titles has always been in posession of Palm Beach County, Florida. Palm Beach, Boca Raton and surrounding municipalities are full of ex-New Yorkers.
jersey city looks more like a boro way more then long island. so does newark also.
isnt it funny that someone can reach home to jersey city from the city faster then someone who lives in far rockaway or jamaica queens? lol
YES.
Jersey City is more NYC-like than East Queens if that makes any sense because some people might say NYC = suburban East Queens too which it does but when you think of NYC you don't think of somewhere like East Queens.
Hudson County is really the only 6th borough. Yonkers can qualify but not all of Westchester County, plus it'd be more of a Bronx extension than a 6th borough.

Right, they used to be one county too (Queens County) before the NYC sucked in the Western half. They still have similar set ups too with the town thing, Jamaica-Flushing-Hempstead-etc.

Why don't you let New Yorkers decalre where their shix boro is?
Nobody in New York considers any part of NJ similar to New York City, which by the way is much bigger than Manhattan. There are too many cultural and historical differences between those two states to list them here.
the 6th borough is either yonkers or long island. Theres no other choice. long island is directly connected to bk and queens(nyc) yonkers is directly connected to the bronx(nyc) no rivers
Yeah I agree with Yonkers or Long Island as well. Like you said Yonkers it's next to the Bronx, and Queens is next to Long Island. So this makes perfect sense. Not too long ago I was driving through Woodlawn, an Irish neighborhood in the Bronx, and boom I hit Yonkers. So yeah, Yonkers or LI should be the 6th borough if anything.

Hudson County and NYC share Ellis Island... That's a good enough historical bond.
And don't get me started on the location of Liberty Island.

NYC's whole 40 mile western border is across from NJ. Manhattan is like no other, you don't have to tell me- NJ (Hudson county) is the next closest thing to NYC- Geography, demographics and population density figures will tell you that.
Queens is the only borough that is more Diverse than Hudson County.
