I'd just take it on a case by case basis. If you feel God is leading you to share, then share. Otherwise, I'd just wait.

Bud;
What comes to mind, when I read your post is when the Apostle Paul had been caught up in the third heaven;
He could not speak of the things that was revealed to him by God, I believe
The scripture< I have to find it, where Paul states that He didn't know whether he was out of the body or in the body......
If anyone knows this passage of scripture, could you please share it?
Thanks
God Bless You.

Default A Beautiful Experience

First I'd like to say to everyone thank you so much for accepting me into your group and I can tell by reading some of the other members postings that I could simply miss work tomorrow just to read the different threads.

I would like to say that what I'm about to disclose is a story about a beautiful person I know. Shes my mother and I'm her son. My mother is a very religious person and for as long as I've been on this earth I've never ever heard her speak a bad word or curse word should I say.

My mother shared with me an experience she had months ago that somehow still has a profound effect on me. I guess the best way to explain it would be liken to that of a powerful church sermon.

One night while my mother was sleeping she woke up to a bright light coming from the northwest corner of her bedroom. I think mom said it was the light that woke her. She said that when she turnover to see what it was she was amazed. It was though she was looking at a beautiful picture of a forest. She said that it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. It started misting rain and the rain was simply glistening and sparking. The trees we so green and beautiful. My mother said she turned away from the sight at first but then she turned back to look and it was still there just as beautiful as it was before only this time the mist turned into rain and she remembered looking up and seeing the drops of rain falling and not only could she see this but she could hear the rain drops hitting. Slowly the picture of the forest started to fade behind the curtain of heavy rain until it was completely gone.

I'd like to say this was a time in Mississippi,(summertime) that we were having a drought. We hadn't had rain for so long. Whether or not this had anything to do with it raining the next day wouldn't be for me to say and neither did my mother. This was one of two experiences that my mother had.

The other vision mom had was of a person's hand. My mother witness looking at not in a dream but just as she had seen the green forest was the hand of my deceased father whom we loved very much. She told me she knew it was my father's hand waving beyond any doubt. His hand was so detailed until she could see the pores in his skin. She said that his hand seemed flawless and the only other thing she could see was the end ruffles of a white robe that was almost blinding to the eyes. My father has been deceased now for about 2 years. The dream mom had was weeks after his death. My mom and dad were married for over 50 years and never separated. There were trying times just as there are in any marriage, they had been together since their teenage years.

Could someone please explain to me what my mother experienced? I do know when she told me about this I couldn't stop thinking about it. And right now it's been almost a week since she told me. Personally I feel that was a divine sign to her that my father was alright and this was some kind of assurance. But I could also be way off track, I don't know. I can say that my mother is about 70 year old and she told me that since shes been on this earth she has never witnessed anything like this before.

What would have after all these year allowed her to witness something of this magnitude? Thank you for any help anyone can give me. I'm really and truly curious. I also like to add I'm beginning to read my bible more.

Hi Larkin, and welcome to City-Data!! Wow, great experiences your Mother has had. I'm certainly no expert on this type of thing, as I struggled with what to do with my visions. I did start another thread after wrestling with it long and hard, and it was not well received. Moderator cut: moderation comments

Judgment on America....My Visions

Your Mother's visions seem to me to be as comforts from God. To let her know that something much better is to come (the forest) and that your Father is safe in the arms of God. The Bible says that in the last days that many will experience visions and dreams, and your Mother seems to be one of millions who are experiencing this, just like me. I'm 45, and I have never had visions until a few months ago.

I have been told that different ministries are receiving thousands of e-mails and letters saying they are having dreams and visions and wanting to know what they mean. It's a phenomena that is part of Biblical prophecy, and should not be ignored. Your Mother is a Godly woman and God is comforting her with these dreams. That's great!!

Some of my visions were for my own personal comfort and reassurance from God, and then some of them were warnings. My faith is strong enough now to be able to withstand the ridicule and do what God wants me to do in spite of how it may be received by others.

Thank you so much for sharing. Learn from your sweet, Godly Mother, pray, and keep reading that Bible!! God bless.

You have no earthly idea what you have done by interpeting my mother's vision. We love you for it and may God bless you all the days of your life. We felt that it was the work of the Lord but how fascinating. I can't explain to you in words how I felt when my mother told me of this and now to have you confirm it all is overwhelming. Thank you and thank you again. May God Bless Everyone.

I have been having dreams and visions for many years now. Prominant ones in my life I have used as confirmation for discissions I have made. I had a vision of heaven. Accually I went to heaven. Rather, I was pulled into heaven by two strong angels who pulled me through the concrete ceiling in my dorm. God was in front of me. I new what he was thinking. I said "God you don't have to force me I will go wherever you want me to go". After this, I did not fear coming to America and marrying my wife. I have had other visions or dreams of creatures and of heaven and of houses. The strongest vision is the one where I went to heaven and had a tour. I was literally given a list of things to see and do in heaven. I was amazed by heaven because it is very different than what we mortals think heaven should be. One of the main things that I realized about heaven is that there was alot less talking going on then here on earth. Everyone in heaven is so content and at peace and full of joy and they know that everyone else is to. You can't say things like "I'm tired, or hungry, or sleepy or in pain, because none of these thing exist in heaven. You can't say "this place is great, or this place is heaven", because it is. There is no bad spot in heaven. You are happy and content wherever you are. Most people seemed happy in one spot. They sat there or stood smiling with their faces glowing. I saw people of every nation and was very interested in the native american indians who had the most amazing outfits and headdresses. In heaven there is trees and grass and houses. Yet the houses are smaller than I expected. They have wonderful things inside that can keep your attention for hours and hours. Some things I have no words to describe because they are beyond desciption in earthly terms. I could say this thing is smaller than a bread box, but what is it? I can't even begin to say. All I can say is that you should go and see the things that I have described yourself. And the only way you can get there is through the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Ahhhh, that sounds wonderful, Nikk!!! I oftened wondered what we would talk about in heaven if we didn't have anything to complain about!

You wouldn't know it from my posts, but I'm not a big fan of talking and talkers. That part alone sounds like sheer heaven to me!! Peaceful, blissful, quiet. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

Thank you SOOOO much for sharing your dreams. This is exactly what I was hoping people would do in this thread and the other one, but it just didn't happen that way. That's okay, though, because God has used you and Larkin to completely give His confirmation that it was His will for me to share.

And you're right...accepting Jesus Christ is the way to experiencing this awesome place called heaven for ourselves. Why would anyone want to hold onto their short-lived, completely fruitless disbelief that leads to eternal damnation and miss out on an eternity of bliss? Why?

Great post. God bless you.

Here's the thing....they are not good.

I'd really like to hear what my fellow Christians think about this, and if these visions are just for me or is God telling me to share them?

I've NEVER had visions before, and there's some scriptures in the Bible that keeps coming to mind.

Acts 2:17-18
"In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophecy."

I could just put it all out there and not ask, but I am really interested in how others feel about this sort of thing and what you would do if you started having visions or dreams. Prophecy?
Hi
I have had dreams also and have been wondering lately if they would be better dreams if I would just beieve they are from God. My dreams do not have to do with "end times."---directly---I don't think. I am beginning to think that they are for other believers. I have told a few people about them over the years and they and I have watched every one of them that I told them about come true. I wonder if I am sopposed to tell more people of them so that they can have the same faith I do in God. I have went to church off and on for several years...was saved when I was 16..i'm now in my 40's. Each time I quit going it is because the dreams have become so strong that I think I'm going insane. Upon going back this time, I have come to think that if I shard these dreams with more people that they would ease somewhat...at least in the type of the dreams they are. I think maybe God has been trying to let me know they are from him and if I told more people they would be amazed and it would strengthen their faith..I know it does mine. They only thing that stops me is the ridicule that I know I will face upon telling people. Some will believe, most will not. But I think the true believer will believe. I do not want to be seen as a "fruitloop." I have two businesses and three children. Any advice?
