There is a dimension described by St. Paul that involves unutterable words that transcend human language. It is a realm of Spirit that is in those white spaces between the black letters and red letters of the Holy One.
That is a great way to put it. And so true. What God gives us in revelation simply cannot be uttered back in words.
I guess this is the reason (though I don't think it's scriptural, just in the movies...lol) Moses comes down from the mountain with a head full of white hair. He probably looked in a mirror and said WTH just happened!! What do I tell my wife, she'll never believe me!!!... lol
And to make matters even more difficult, try and communicate these things against 1600 years of church dogma.
Fundies lull themselves to sleep by counting unbelievers being tossed into their god-thing's eternal toaster.
Whatever gets you through the night, I suppose.
I think he is correct insofar as it pertains to the "flesh", that is: the natural man within us, sometimes in scripture called the goat, or symbolically Esau, Hagar, an unnamed rich man, etc.
What I'm wondering though is if he believes eternal hell awaits the spirit of man, the breath of God, the Candle of the Lord, sometimes in scripture called the sheep, or symbolically Jacob, Lazarus, Sarah, etc.
The soul is like a two sided coin. Is the whole coin cast into hell, for what one side does? How is the soul being judged? Maybe he'll tell us.
There is hope for you, TroutDude, if you would heed the conviction of the Holy Spirit and repent of your abominations and sins.
I know that you have your arguments against the idea that homosexuality is a sin and that you take comfort in the false idea that all will be saved in the end.
But both of these things amount to a false hope.
If I think that jumping off of a five-mile high cliff will not kill me, that is not going to change the fact that it will kill me if I jump off.
If I believe in such a false hope to the point of jumping off, I will die.
You are headed towards that cliff; and certain people are trying to tell you to turn around and walk in the opposite direction. You are like a blind man walking towards the edge of that cliff. You could step off at any moment.
Psa 73:12, Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Psa 73:13, Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
Psa 73:14, For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
Psa 73:15, If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
Psa 73:16, When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
Psa 73:17, Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
Psa 73:18, Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Psa 73:19, How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
Psa 73:20, As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
Ignoring the original language or linguistics, which says otherwise, does not change the facts.
The dogma you seem to hold on high is not really relevant to me, merely because you say so.
And I find your ignorance and arrogance, rather appalling for one claiming knighthood.

You want to consider linguistics?
I understand the argument, that the term everlasting, in Matthew 25:46 means "age-abiding".
I just wonder if you are willing to apply the same logic to the word "everlasting" in John 3:16.
Do those who are saved merely have age-abiding life?
It comes to an end eventually?
Such a thing takes the gospel and diminishes it so that it is no longer even the good news.
