Sorry to bring up an old thread but just wanted to let everyone know that Red Eye on Damen is great. Went on the recommendation from someone on here and I was totally satisfied. Even without insurance they discounted everything I bought including glasses. Very nice of em! Also Dr. Gifford is on his way to Haiti to help out in a local clinic for a week!!

Bucktown/Wicker Park has become a great place to shop for hip frames between Red Eye, Urban Eyecare, Eye Want, and D-Vision.

Glasses/Frames in Chicago
Can anyone recommend a good store in Chicago for buying new glasses/frames? I was at Lenscrafters but the selection isn't very wide. I'm looking for a wide selection, the more to choose from the better chance I'll find something I like. I live in Wicker Park and work downtown, but anyplace in the city is fine. Any suggestions?

Eye Candy on Division. Best place to get glasses in the city... good selection and awesome people working there, they're nice and extremely helpful. Last time I was there, I sat down, they gave me a beer, and grabbed a ton of frames for me to try on that fit my face/profile. Great prices, and they accept most insurance also.
