Hey guys,

I have to play a tennis match down by UIC this evening (Morgan and Roosevelt). My question is would I be better off driving or taking CTA if i need to be there by 4:30? GMaps says it'll take about an hour to get there with CTA. Would it take longer by car?

Whoops, almost forgot, im coming from Rogers Park.

Average speeds on LSD are well above 40 MPH southbound in the mid afternoon from Rogers Park to the Michigan Ave exit, from there it slows, but as you would be smart to be at Roosevelt before 4PM or so I think if would be safe bet that could make the trip by car in less than an hour. Parking garage at UIC is an option, though more costly than on street parking or a CTA fare...

Actually, if you try you should be able to find free spots on Halsted. After a block south on Roosevelt, there should be free spots. Then on 16th street off of Halsted are more free spots. And then I believe on Morgan as well. At least they were last time was I there this past fall for a UIC soccer game. I doubt that's changed though.
