What I wanna know is why there's no freakin' Sonic?! To discover that I have to travel to boofoo land *cough* Aurora just to get a taste after seeing one of their commercials is a punch in the nuts : (

There's few Sonics up here because 1) the drive-in concept is a tougher sell in a region with fargin' cold winters, and 2) this is Culver's territory. Sonic can eat it.

Culver's only has good custard, anything else is a waste. Bring in Sonic.

There is a Browns Chicken close to me in Midlothian, IL(South Suburbs), and I like there polishes(even though Maxwell St. is better). There is a good number of KFC is common in the South Suburbs. There is a KFC in Harvey, IL & Markham( mix with pizza hut) and a Churches on 159th St. in Harvey. Overall in the Chicago area, Harolds, Popeyes, & Churches are more popular than KFC; Most of the KFCs I see are in the suburbs(south suburbs).

What the heck is the deal with sonic. I've seen all of their commericals. When all you have is other fast food joints to compare to yeah it may stand out. But we have fantastic mom and pop joints here that probably are just a tad bit more money but 10 times the quality. I'm not going to Aurora to get just another fast food hamburger.

Blasphemer! I hereby banish you to spend the rest of your life in Hell! (aka the South. But at least you'll have Sonic.)

Fast food joints that used to be good but now serve barely edible food:

1 McDonalds
2 KFC
3 Burger King
4 Arbys
5 Taco Bell (make their tortillas out of sawdust?)
6 Whataburger
7 Subway (a vegetarian could eat their meat subs)
8 Wendys
9 Carls Junior

What I think they do, in order to maximize profit, is cut back the quality of their ingredients until their product is unsellable and then boost the quality up one notch and leave it there.

Feel free to add others.

I bought some chilli from Wendys a few months ago and it was sick. The bits of meat were hard and difficult to even chew. Their chilli used to be good, will never buy that dog food again.

KFC chicken is greasy, undersized, overpriced and over-rated. I refuse to buy watered down, tasteless gravy poured over a small serving of watery instant potatoes. Besides. Churches and Jack In The Box chicken is better.

All fast food chains have been downgrading quality and size while upgrading prices for years. Steak N Shake quality is still the same; they're raising prices. I will gladly pay more for a Steakburger before I waste money on the 'cost saving' measures the others employ. When all the ponzi schemes and con artists fail, we will have what we need. The strong smart companies will still be in business and the ones that are not will be long gone and mostly forgotten.
