I lived in Wicker Park, and I have noticed 8 KFC's out of business biking around Chicago! They are going out of business because KFC in Chicago is too expensive! If you want a good 3 pc meal with 2 sides and a drink, it's over $7! In other cities, or if you take a road trip and hit a roadside KFC - you can get a KFC Buffet for that price!

KFC is my favorite chicken! Church's is cheap but good enough, and I eat it more often becase it is cheap.

If you want to eat cheap at KFC in Chicago, you must use coupons! That's the only way I eat 3 pc meals in Chicago. Clip coupons from the newspaper, etc, or join gokfc.com for coupons!

It is?So except for the tax difference you are telling me KFC is way cheaper in Houston?

I hardly eat KFC in Houston. So many other good fast food places in Houston, and I hardly run into coupons for Houston KFC's!

KFC is terrible! That's the problem. And you want to know the funniest thing...I freaking live in Kentucky (at the moment) and it's still freaking terrible here! I mean Kentucky Fried Chicken can't even get it right in Kentucky?! That's pathetic! Stick to Popeye's.

Actually it is! Well I don't know about Houston, but in St. Louis it is. Every once in a couple years i get a craving for KFC and couldn't believe how much it was here (well in Westmont actually), so I checked in St. Louis and not including tax of any kind it was over a dollar cheaper for one person's meal in St. Louis than here... and honestly, it's not worth it if I can get better fast food cheaper.

The reason why I don't eat KFC much in Houston is because of no coupons. With coupons in Chicago I can get a 3 pc meal 2 sides for around $5 - can't get that in Houston without coupons. And during my temp stay in Houston I'd rather eat at all the good fast food places here that aren't in Chicago.

Default Coupons for fast food?

Seriously, are things so tight that people are resorting to using coupons to buy fast food? I think the last time I used a coupon for fast food was when I was in college and they still issued stamps at Subway.

$7 is still pretty cheap for food, coupon or not. My tab at KFC usually runs about $8-9, but I get an extra chicken breast with my meal (I eat there maybe 1-2 times per month). I spend $150-200 per week in gas so I don't typically fuss over a couple of bucks.

Hey, it pays to stretch your dollars! Even though I made $1069 weekly take home checks on my last job, I used coupons a lot for groceries or fast food. So you can go out and eat more often, buy nice clothes, and save up for a BMW 330Ci.

$7 is a lot for fast food if you eat a lot. Rather, I can eat a Jack in the Box Sirloin Steak Breakfast burrito combo with hash brown and OJ for $4.19 + tax. - A better bargain you can eat more often.
