As did my grandfather. Is Wirish an ethnicity? Probably should be.

I am not wrong. This is like arguing with a creationist. I am right. Period. No if ands or but's about it. It is fact that America has the highest crime rate of any first world country. Three people have denied this FACT but can't name one first world country with a higher crime rate. All that has been done is posting a link that actually BACKED UP WHAT I WAS SAYING.

No, really. Actually, look at Drover's link. His big bad words doesn't make me wrong. His link is something I could've posted myself in my post..

Yeah, but the Irish are Q Celts and the Welsh are P Celts, different strains of the Celtic language family.

Agreed.

Yep, that's exactly what a creationist would say, though they may have had the decency to insert a comma or two and remove an apostrophe. (You did mean that they're the ones arguing with the creationist, right? If you meant that you are arguing with a creationist, you're not only wrong, you're delusional.)

First of all, they were denying this "fact":

You later amended your argument rather than admitting you were wrong. (This is a favorite strategy of yours, we've all noticed.) As has been pointed out, though, even among developed nations, the U.S. doesn't have the highest crime rate.

Did you click on the link? Did you read it? I know it has some big words, and is 12 pages long, and you may have missed the day in school where they teach you how to read basic charts, but let me sum it up for you, using your favorite typing style: THE REPORT AT THAT LINK SHOWED SEVERAL COUNTRIES, INCLUDING SOME "FIRST WORLD" ONES, WITH HIGHER CRIME RATES THAN THE U.S. ACROSS SEVERAL DIFFERENT CATEGORIES. The U.S. was not ranked first in any category. Not a single one.

I don't know that I'd call his words big or bad, but they were accurate, which is far more important. You may wish to try that approach sometime.

The title of the map says "Crime Rates," but the key (and the numbers themselves) indicate that it's actually total number of reported crimes. Note that the UK and Germany each have over half as many total crimes as the U.S. Neither of those countries have anywhere near half as many people as the U.S. What does that tell you about their crime rates? It tells you they're significantly higher that ours- as indicated on the link that was already posted a long time ago. Sigh. Reading and math, people. They're good for what ails ya.
