What a gorgeous 'burb. In fact, Kenilworth is probably in the Top 10 most gorgeous suburbs (IMO) in the entire country. Im not kidding either.

It was very nice. but the homes are way too expensive and they are not that big lots either.

I'm sure you have excellent taste, going by what you thought worthy of photographing. *I* am a newbie with a big mouth (or hasty keyboard, if you prefer ).

Going by a zoom in on Google Maps Satellite & A search for Barrington churches, it may be the Lutheran Church Of Atonement, at 909 E Main St. The shape of the roofline makes me think that may be it (it's in the right area). I don't think it was a Lutheran Church back in the '60s, maybe a Church Of The Nazarene? It's what keeps popping into my head (although my memory is occasionally suspect).

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, this weekend has been hell on wheels!

btw, thanks for the latest pix, they are gorgeous! I esp. like the country road shots. Seeing the farm shots, I can almost smell the hay (man, I miss that smell/aroma).

No, the church I'm thinking of was definitely on Lake-Cook (or County Line Rd. as we always referred to it & I still want to). I think I remember the church you mean, though. We went to Barrington fairly frequently & passed through even more often (usually on our way to Deer Grove), so I'm a little familiar with the landmarks.

But, thanks for the suggestion!
