Re-imagining the most popular American Muscle Cars of the past, Trans Am Worldwide is now taking orders on the most recent in their modern-day muscle car line up, the 70/SS.

Available in three trim packages, the 70/SS pays tribute to the 1970 Chevelle Super Sport. Built on a current modern platform, it’s power plant options start with the 450hp LT1. A 396ci 900 rear wheel horsepower engine upgrade is also available and for the pinnacle of the powertrain options, we have the LS6/X twin turbo 454 with 1500 streetable rear wheel horsepower. The LS6/X model will be limited to only 25 units.

According to another article:

Starting with a new sixth-gen Camaro as the foundation, the designers completely changed every part of the exterior. The only untouched area was the windshield. As you can see, every body panel has been reshaped to pay homage to the classic ’70 Chevelle Super Sport. They even stretched the car’s rear with new quarter panels, deck lid, and bumper. The interior remains mostly Camaro. However, the 70/SS does receive retro-styled seats and carpet. The 70/SS badging and Hurst cue ball shift knob are also nice touches.

I like it but don't love the Corvette logo on the steering wheel.

Cool car but 110K+donor car is a expensive way to roll down memory lane.

Maybe not enough. Still looks way too much like the Camaro to me (been wanting to like the Camaro since 2009 and just can't).

While I sort of like the car, as the former owner of a real '71 SS454, it just doesn't look "right". The proportions, while not too bad, they are somewhat off. I suppose if you have never seen one of the '70-'72 Chevelles, you wouldn't notice. One thing, however, is that this one will run rings around one of the originals.
