Okay, now I am confused. You are saying CHARLESTON. There is Charleston, W.VA and Charleston, SC, on the coast. THen you said Charlotte. These are very different cities! When I lived in Kansas, folks would talk about coming to Charlotte, thinking they were heading to the historic Southern town of Charleston. Just don't want you to get here and wonder where those charming pictures of Charleston are located!

Below is a link to Charleston, SC, which is about 4 or so hours southeast of Charlotte.

i meant charlotte, nc, as in my original message, sorry ..i always get the two cities mixed up in my head.
