well we chose charleston though it was technically out of the way, because we wanted to stop in charleston...i guess its a blessing in disguise, because of the closure you guys mentioned. when i google mapped our next destination (memphis, tn) from charlotte, maybe it accounted for the closure, im not sure, but it told me to go 85 south, 20 west, 78 west, eventually meeting up w/ the 40 again.
ill look into the things people mentioned already, unless anyone has anymore suggestions.
Okay, now I am confused. You are saying CHARLESTON. There is Charleston, W.VA and Charleston, SC, on the coast. THen you said Charlotte. These are very different cities! When I lived in Kansas, folks would talk about coming to Charlotte, thinking they were heading to the historic Southern town of Charleston. Just don't want you to get here and wonder where those charming pictures of Charleston are located!
Below is a link to Charleston, SC, which is about 4 or so hours southeast of Charlotte.
i meant charlotte, nc, as in my original message, sorry ..i always get the two cities mixed up in my head.
Just wanted to make sure!
