In some countries it's a law to have a gun in the home . Very little crime if any at all. Hmmmm....

Just goes to show . . . even the kid down the street may be the one who will try to rip you off.

The only time I have had my car broken into was by an anti-social thuglette in my neighborhood . . . broke into several cars (including mine) in one of his crimefests - looking for drug money.

Maybe you should rethink what the typical home burglar looks like.

This solution was recommended on American Television over 35 years ago.

I had my car broken into and reported it. Next morning the news were at my door saying there was like 12 break ins within a 48 hour period and what did I think?

I mentioned it a few days later to my neighbor and it turned out that they caught the teen on their surveillance camera and was able to identify him as another neighbor's son who just moved in the week before.

Police arrested him. The mom was wailing that he is a good kid and that he just got our of jail and to cut him a break.....

Umm yeah, she actually said that. Now she glares at all of us when she walks her dogs as she isn't sure which one of us called her precious son in.

Where?

In Switzerland nearly all men are members of the Swiss Army, so there is a high probability there are guns in the home, but not sure about it being a law that homes be armed. At the same time socioeconomically and racially Switzerland is much more homogeneous than say the USA.
Crime is VERY low.

Prague is comparable to Charlotte, population wise, and has little crime involving guns.
But again, their population is very homogeneous.

Personally we're armed to the teeth.

This is crazy!!
Maybe installation of electrical fields around properties would be in order.
Then again , one thing you must remember is everyone was his age before and did insipid things , but it is no excuse. Shame to be that age and already rack up felonies. Besides , some teens have sense , it's the ones who are still wrapped up in this 'crime pays' mentality at my age that 'cooks my kettle'. Glad my mother stayed on my a__ when I was that age....if it weren't for her , I wouldn't be sitting here now
at this wonderful , good paying job without 'a care in the world'. Save of course , paying rent , bills , trips , et al.!!
