I maybe relocating from Princeton, NJ to a project around Salisbury, NC. We really like where we live now with the awesome culture, accessibility to all stores we need within about a 15 min. drive, lots of parks, and great mountain biking near. I am not concerned with a 30-45min commute. What would be a good location to start looking at?
We have a 3yr old and schools would be important as well.
The things we are most looking for in an area are:
Safe Neighborhoods
Good Schools
Parks nearby that are safe
Stores that carry organic foods
Friendly Atmosphere
Mountain and Road Cycling accessibility
I think Concord would be a decent commute, plenty of shopping, parks, good schools, safe and friendly. I'm not sure about organic food stores but most grocery stores here have organic options.
