I have tons of it- blocks, sheets, as well as the moulded kind that comes with everything you buy. I don't want to throw it all in the trash. Is there someplace that will recycle it?

I don't think so, but if you find a recycler that takes it please let us know. I saved some sheets of styrofoam thinking I might use it for insulation, but is still taking up space in my garage.

Sheets & blocks of styrofoam??? Got any hobby groups you know of or the hobby forum over here might be good....anyone that does village displays, even model railroad displays sometimes, uses styrofoam as a base & for building mountains & platforms. Just give us a hot wire foam cutter & we're good to go!

HMmmm....where do you live?? I might be interested in taking some of it off your hands.

Default styrofoam sheet recycling

Thanks,
Foxhole is a landfill and does not do recycling. I can toss it but am looking to recylce the sheets and forms that are not in peanut shape. (UPS stores accept styrofoam peanuts as they recycle for shipping). I've circulated to friends and girl scouts that I have it if they need to make projects with, but have not found anyplace that Recycles styrofoam.

There is a huge recycle center on Statesville Road between exits 18 and 23, on the right going north. It is a mile or two from exit 18.
