I haven't been online this week because my mother in law passed away unexpectedly last monday.

I am now taking custody of my brother in law who was thankfully here with me on vacation.

I also have an ill bound sister in law that is 24 and needs a physical rehab/long term care facility.

I called Pineville, Avante and a few others but they don't take young patients. I have left messages tonight at Carrington, Huntersville Oaks and Sardis Oak.

Anyone know of any others that will take a 24 year old patient. (She isn't a mental or drug rehab patient) Or an assisted living facility?

Thank you.

I understand what you're dealing with. I've been trying to place my wife (44) into a home. We've been on the waiting lists for quite some time now. You might also want to try Olde Knox Commons in Huntersville. They're a brand-new facility.

Right now, Sunrise of Eastover is looking like our best bet for availability. Be aware that most places require an up-front security deposit ($1000) before the patient can be added to their waiting list.

I worry a lot about how well she will fit at her age in with all of the much older patients. Maybe they can end up being roommates somewhere.
