Southampton and Southampton Commons (off Ardrey Kell) is in the $250-$300k range. The houses now are a bargain compared to the prices a year ago when we bought in there.
So how do you like the Southhampton area now that you are there? When we move we will have a daughter entering middle school --- will it provide the opportunity for lots of friends and activities for her?
yes, there are tons of children in Southampton. I see lots of middle school kids waiting at the bus stop when I drive my son to preschool. There is a pool/playground that is always occupied. The pool opens up in a few weeks! Right near our street is a cul de sac and all the parents just sit in their chairs in the driveway and talk to one another and all the kids play and ride bikes in the cul de sac. The house beside us has two middle school boys and I see about 4 other middle school boys always walk to their house and play ball everyday.
I am looking for a new house and I see a lot of homes for sale in Southampton. Is there a reason for so many homes for sale? Is it a bad area or are there just a lot of people moving? It makes me nervous to see so many homes for sale in that particular neighborhood. It looks like a nice area. Please give me the scoop.Thanks.
