My fiance and I are planning on moving to Huntersville hopefully at the beginning of July. I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on good neighborhoods to look at. We're looking at single-family homes, new construction or nearly new. We would also consider building one if anyone knows of any subdivisions still building. Our budget is around $250k or less. Thanks!

I LOVE Summerswalk, it's actually in Davidson, great location, highly sought after zip code... Also like Vermillion, Centennial, Monteith Park as well...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Monteith Park built by Beazer homes that just announced they are leaving Charlotte due to financial issues among other builder problems?

You are thinking of Moneith Place it was done by Beazer.

Moneith Park was done by Saussy Burbank

If you look into Vermillion drive down Gibson Park Drive and determine if you want that in your back yard.

Monteith Place is a good choice.
Great location off Old Statesville Road, convenient to shopping & I-77.
New and nearly new homes are available.

There are plenty of subdivisions in Huntersville in that range. Make sure you drive around and see all surrounding areas.

My boyfriend and I are also looking at relocating and we are interested in Huntersville subdivisions. I have been to Vermillion and we loved it, I am not from the area though so I don't get this statement "drive down Gibson Park Drive and determine if you want that in your back yard"

Can you clarify please? For people who are not from the area that sounds like a vague warning of some sort.

The area is an old part of Huntersville and the houses are old and not up with the $300K crowd. I guess some would consider it lower income for a lack of better terms. There hardly is any crime over that part of town. The Beazer community is across the street from the main entrance. Other than maybe an eye sore I would not worry to much.
