There are many nice neighborhoods in Charlotte. I favor the South Charlotte area for schools, affordable homes. In my opinion I would not think of Statesville usless you are a fan of Mayberry RFD (although I do like the JR cigar store there). Charlotte is much more transient area which I prefer.

Hey there,

What part of Jersey? I'm from Cherry Hill. Best parts of the area I would recomend is as fallows: South side of Charlotte, Union Co, Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis (all in Cabarrus Co). York Co in SC is nice and Upper Meck (Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius, Highland Creek) and Mooresville (southern Iredell Co) and Gaston Co excluding Gastonia (like Mt Holly or Belmont).

Stay away from: East Charlotte, West Charlotte, University City, Gastonia (all "Hoods")
