^^^^^all correct without a doubt. But who really cares about the 5-6 people who come here and say they don't like it? Really.

But for those that need a new life, be it economic, personal, whatever, who has the right to pass judgement?

There are way too many success stories in our county's history to even consider giving advise.I have worked very hard over the past few years to stop giving advise as I find it to be a responsibilty I am not willing to assume. It make life less stressful.

Also a fellow Long Islander looking to transplant myself to the Charlotte area but just don't know where. We would like to have property to build a small modest home, single floor but enough backyard to have a chicken coop if possible. Any help in this area? I was suggested Waxhaw. Coming down next week as my daughter is going to start college in Wilmington and she will have orientation. Mom and Dad will be scoping out areas while she is doing her college thing.

I grew up in Ronkonkoma and live in Mount Sinai now with 1 acre property. Just looking for the same kind of a feel. Close enough to my big box stores but still have the suburb feel, I don't want my neighbors on top of me.
