My wife returned to the workforce, in an entry level position, at Wachovia, after not working for 8 years. The pay was great for entry level, and the benefits are awesome! After a year in her position, she was given the oppurtunity to work in a new department for nearly double the pay! For my money, Wachovia's got better bang for the buck.
I've heard mixed reviews on both. I've heard tha Wachovia compensates the contractors handsomely. However, once one becomes a regular employee at wachovia the pay is much less then the contractor rate.
I think Wachovia is going to shift early next year when they outsource their call center functions, it's going to suck!

Well I think that's standard- Your fully-burden cost to the company now includes things that your contractor rate didn't include (insurances, benefits, 401k matching, etc., etc.)
