If Morgantown can't attract a Trader Joes with their booming population, retail growth, and 30,000 college students first, no one in WV is going to see a TJ's.

That isn't entirely true considering that Trader Joes is talked about opening in Barboursvlle. Morgantown is also close enough to an existing TJs in the South Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Has anyone heard or read anything about any developments off the Mink Shoals exit? I have been noticing that there has been some earth moving on the southbound side of the highway near the exit ramp. For a couple weeks now there has been several large earth moving equipment widening the space for something to go in there. Honestly that exit has a massive potential if the land was used more appropriately. The little road leading to the lot in question would need some paving and or widening, but that is not a massive fix. I could honestly see any number of businesses locating there, even a hotel. From judging the size and shape of the lot, I couldn't see something like a Sheetz going in unless Sheetz was willing to reshape from their usual site plans onto a more elongated property. It could be town homes or apartments as well, as there has been a recent uptick in those being built in mink Shoals. It could also be a fast food joint. Just my thoughts.

Speaking of Sheetz, a while back I mentioned a rumor of Sheetz or Speedway possibly building a truck stop off the Amma Exit. I haven't heard anything further, but I have noticed a lot of tree removal and dirt moving at the rumored site in the last month. In fact, there is probably 10-15 pieces of machinery there as of last week. I still have a hard time believing the rumor, but something is certainly going in there.

Yeah I saw this. To be honest the food was nothing spectacular. To be mediocre is not going to cut it in a location like that.

Books and Brews (A Hurricane business) is opening a second location on Charleston's West Side. This is a really cool concept!
