I would like information on elementary schools in Summerville. I know "they're all good" but I would really like to know which ones are known for being a little better or schools that are known for not being as good. I am a mama and a teacher. I'm not trying to cause a debate- just want honest comments from those of you who already live there.
Thanks!
Can't wait to move there!

My daughter isn't school age yet but my 2 nieces are and their mom loves Newington, except for the super early start time. (The bus picks the girls up at 6:45AM)

I too am very interested in the elementary schools in Summerville. Is there anyone out there that has children in the school system that can tell me what the class sizes are -- Here in PA they really cram the kids in - usually 25-30 per class, its crazy.

most of the time they sqease like 35-40 students in a room. Ever since the Great migration hit we've been tight on space.

Default Schools

We live in the Berkeley County part of Summerville and have been very pleased with our daughter's first year at Devon Forest Elementary. She has 22 kids in her class, which is about average there, I think. The principals and Title I coordinator are patient and seem to care.
