Help with Apartments in Goose Creek (Charleston, North Charleston: rentals, how much, houses)

My fiance and I just spent this past weekend looking at apartments in Goose Creek. We visited Jamison Park in North Charleston, Coventry Green, Devon Pointe, Branchwood, and Rosewood in Goose Creek.

My fiance is in the area due to the Navy and I will be moving down with him but we wanted to know what apartments are the better ones? We really liked Coventry Green and Jamison Park. Does anybody know anything on them?

Also, what would the commute be like to the Naval Weapons Stations from these apartments?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I can't speak about Jamison Park but Conventry Green would be about a 15 to 20 minute drive to the Weapons Station.

Have you guys thought about renting a house in the area? St. James Estates is a WONDERFUL neighborhood to rent in and super close to the base. Sedgefield and Willowbrook are some other near by options for you. I live on the "line" between Sedgefield and Willowbrook and even in morning traffic, I could be on the base in about 5 minutes

Do you know about how much those houses are a month?

I don't see any homes for rent in the mls at this time in St. James Estates or Sedgefield but do see a 1200 sqft., 3br., 1 1/2 ba home for rent at $800 in Willowbrook. Rentals about that size in St. James Estates and Sedgefield will be in the $750 - $900 range.
