I hear we may land the 777x line right here in our backyard. The WSJ hinted at it yesterday and Boeing announced today that some of the engineering work would be done here. Think housing is scarce now and prices are going up? If that happens we'll have even more of an inventory problem than we currently have and 300k will be the new norm for starter homes.

Didn't fallingknife get booted? Or was that someone else I'm thinking of?

But yes, Boeing news is always good news for the local economy.

I sold my house in MTP to a Boeing person in August 2010. I love that Boeing money.

There are still plenty of reasonably priced homes around in the Summerville area and all of Dorchester County. You certainly won't have to pay $300,000 for a starter home!

West Ashley... Grand Oaks you can get nice houses in a nice neighborhood for low $200's.

I doubt there will ever be a shortage of houses as long as there is empty land for them to build on.
