I would totally agree with you on that one! Where did she come from? No acting background, except in pornos (should have said "legit" acting background) obvious that she just slept her way into the business, and should remained in background and extra work on TV! Just horrible!
I use to think Cameron Diaz was a mediocre actress until I saw her in "Holiday". Ok, she wasn't terrific but the movie was good and she was a lead. I walked by that movie so many times and thought "Blech..." and then bought it one day on a whim. Really good. My perception of her improved. Jolie - totally overrated.
Drew Barrymore may not be a great actress but I thought she was perfect for her parts in The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates with Adam Sandler. He's not always great either but I thought both of these movies were silly but cute mindless fun. It's the same with Cameron Diaz, she may not be Oscar-worthy but she was fun in a couple of movies, like Something About Mary and Holiday. I also like Meg Ryan in a few movies like When Harry Met Sally or Sleepless in Seattle. What makes something bad for me is when the actress is awkward like Jessica Alba. Drew has been horrible in some movies, as have the others.
