NO, this thread is about Kanye, but you want to make it seem like people have it out for him or something. He was not even on my radar until he put himself there by acting so foolishly. He continues to show his ignorance and his arrogance every time he opens his mouth or gets a platform. He is not better than everyone else; his opinions are not right just because they are his, and he is not more talented than the rest of the music industry. It is hard for me to believe that anyone would even try to defend his actions. It does not matter whose video was better; he was wrong to act the way he did, and even Barack Obama agreed that Kanye behaved badly.
I'm not defending his actions. I said a million posts ago that what he did was wrong but people; are trying o make him seem like the devil incarnate. Rude things happen everyday all the time and with much more pressing issues than entertainment...not sure why people are so devastated by Kanye (especially since most of them never even heard of him until the GWB thing) especially since it happened so long ago.
Not that it really matters anyway since his album was great and at the end of the day he's a musician, so thats really all he has to do is provide good music.
I understand what you are saying, but I think we all can agree that the reason there is so much backlash about Kanye is he is so over-the-top. I mean, the "jumped" on the stage and grabbed the mike out of the girl's hand. Who else has done that sort of obnoxious thing?
Personally, I still can't get over he thinks he's "the voice of a generation." What a total jackass. I agree with Obama.
Regardless of how we or he feels; he handled that situation the wrong way and jumping on the stage and interrupting her speech wasn't the way to do it. He needs to learn self control.
I stopped taking him serious when he made that ignorant statement "Bush doesn't care about black people".

True, but I think Soulja Boy is laughable as being a rapper. Kanye West really is a decent rapper, but everyone's entitled to an opinion.
