West took the mike from Swift to say she did not deserve the award. That was one of the rudest incidents to happen at an awards show. It doesn't matter what anyone's opinion of Swift was; she won and was accepting her award. Kanye West does not have to right to take away her right to accept her award. He acted without class.

EXACTlY !!, It was NOT his place to do that.

and because of that, he should have been escorted off the stage and sent home and made to stand in the corner with a propeller on his top of his head.

would have been cool if Taylor grabbed the mike back and said, "oh, no, no, no, my dear....time for you to leave the stage"......

that would have been great !!

your comment just shows that you haven't been watching the awards. This isn't the first time something like this happened. Anybody remember ODB?

I think the incident with Kanye was overblown because Taylor is a young girl and looked like she was on the verge of tears when he said it.

Had he jumped up and did the same thing to Soulja Boy no one would have given a damn - just like no one cares that lil mama jumped up on stage in the middle of jay Z and Alicia Keys performance and stood in front of them.

It's hilarious to me that people have long since stopped talking about the congressman who yelled at the President of the United States but they're still talking about Kanye being rude to Taylor Swift.

I think one look at Kanye's social track record and most folks will figure something like was again inevitable. Mostly I think he's just trying to show off. Now I have never heard Taylor Swift's music, but honestly I doubt it holds a candle to Beyonce's Single Ladies video. But nonetheless it's uncalled for by any individual to walk onto stage, take the microphone out of turn, and project your biased opinion while a young person is having a well deserved moment. Kanye really needs to evaluate himself as a person, and drop some of the outlandish ego he's conditioned himself to believe he's entitled to. In my opinion that is the source of his unruly behavior.

Nowhere did I say that this incident was the ONLY such incident to ever occur. This thread is about Kanye. People are talking about the incident with the congressman, but that is not what this thread is about. There is no way that what West did can be justified just because he was not the first person to be rude. I doubt that this will be the last incident with Kanye. He appears to lack common courtesy.

What I can't figure out is that Kanye's mother was an educated woman who surely knew better, so why did she raise this man-boy to be such a self-centered egotist? Did she not teach him to share? And why is he so extremely spoiled? Did she not discipline him much? I just don't get it.

He belittled her nationally and took that night away from her forever, even Beyonce was embarrassed for her, Garth and a couple of good ole boys should've ran up there and smacked the black off his azz like I'm sure his momma wanted too..maybe then the fool would shut up and not be ranting about it to this day..

These others weren't nearly as overbearing, condescending, self righteous or down right mean and btw Joe Wilson happened to be right...

Over the past years, it has gotten worse because his mother is not alive to control him. He probably needs another strong women to step into his life.

And Beyonce's video was better than Taylor's so Kanye was right too...but I like I said you're only allowed to be overbearing, condescending, self righteous or down right mean if people don't like the person you're being overbearing, condescending, self righteous or down right mean to

NO, this thread is about Kanye, but you want to make it seem like people have it out for him or something. He was not even on my radar until he put himself there by acting so foolishly. He continues to show his ignorance and his arrogance every time he opens his mouth or gets a platform. He is not better than everyone else; his opinions are not right just because they are his, and he is not more talented than the rest of the music industry. It is hard for me to believe that anyone would even try to defend his actions. It does not matter whose video was better; he was wrong to act the way he did, and even Barack Obama agreed that Kanye behaved badly.
