I don't even have TV service and I have still heard this womans name. I don't get it; she isn't all that attractive in my opinion. She came to Nashville one time to promote some product and the Tennessean newspaper ran a story with photos. THOUSANDS of slack jawed locals came out to see her in the middle of a work day. I thought it was pathetic.

Saying KK is "overrated" is disrespectful to all those celebs that are actually overrated LOL. She shouldn't even be on anyone's radar in the first place. She literally has zero talent. At least her d-bag husband Kanye West makes music. Whether it's good or not is debatable, but at least he does SOMETHING.
Kim doesn't do anything. she was born and raised into wealth. Never worked for anything, doesn't have any talents. She was literally thrown into the spotlight after a video surfaced of her giving a C-list rapper a beej. That's her claim to fame.
And yet America eats it up and has made her hundreds of millions. America, wtf.

Don't you know that some people live vicariously through celebs? There was this one young female viewer of the Kardashian show who said that when she looks outside her window, all she sees are corn fields. So, to people like that, the Kardashians' lifestyle of luxury homes, luxury cars, designer clothes, etc must be the type of life that they dream of living.
As to the original post, there are lots of female celebs who are unattractive and/or overrated. So why single out Kim? One thing that's admirable about Kim (as a person) is that she managed to become one of the biggest stars in the USA despite having "ethnic" looks and an ethnic last name. Lots of women around the world (the Middle East, India, Latin America, etc) can identify with her look, and that's probably a big reason why Kim is so popular worldwide. Whereas how many people outside the USA can identify with someone who's blond and blue-eyed?
