Two of my cats, Rambo and Celeste do that. They lay down together, he goes over to get his ears cleaned, and then somehow it goes from something completely adorable to an UFC match in 60 seconds. One morning Rambo was sitting on the bed with a Fu-Manchu made of Celeste's fur. I wish I would have gotten a picture.

Same here - mine act like the siblings they are (like their mom and aunt used to ), all curled up and content together one minute, and snarling and hissing the next. A lot of time an innocent play session degenerates into a full-on war.

Goldie liked attention, the other two that were around not so much. There was at least one more on the island but only saw it at night and didn't get a good pic.

Why thank you, Ohiogirl! Patches is actually my main model for pet items in my Etsy shop It makes her day! She's seriously at her happiest when the camera is around lol.
