Where did you get your shelf that the cats are sleeping on? I've been looking for one of those and cannot find one locally.
Try WalMart. We cut a stair thread to go over a window sill and covered it with fake fur. Three screws hold it to the original sill - no problem to take off, fill holes, paint over.
Flashback: My cats Runt and Turtle (and their brothers) back when they were stray kittens in 2009.
Runt and Turtle and one of their brothers
They all had conjunctivitis (I think that's what it was, running nose and eye gunk), which somebody from City-Data sent money to pay to get treated. Other than that they were healthy. Runt is on the right. She was tiny and had the worst case of it. Turtle is on the right.
One of the boys. Both boys were given away. One is still around, I think, but the other mysteriously died. Being males the new owners decided not to neuter them. I knew if I required neutering I would still have the two males, and they deserved to have their own homes.
Turtle. She's tortoiseshell. The other three are gray tabbies
One of the boys I think.
Runt and her brothers
Turtle
Runt and the feral momma. I trapped and spayed her, but she has since disappeared.
Runt playing
He was the heathiest and biggest of the litter
Kittens are nice, but I don't need anymore. It is nice to remember how little they were and that they're grown up now (they're three) and it feels like they're yours.

They are all very cute and pretty. Love those green eyes!
