My cats clawed up 3 sofas we had over the years when they were all alive, but we just bought new ones! (they liked the nubby material, so we bought a smooth material one and they never touched it!) Sofas come and go, but your furry family should never. You can always put a towel over a sofa, too.

BTW, I was not saying "what the hell" about the OP. It was a comment on the attack on the OP.

Thank you very much. I certainly understood that but could not rep you at the time but think I can now.

I have no plans to read the story, the posts are enough to keep me away, I can't even watch the commercials on TV showing caged abandoned, mistreated animals, it really yanks my chain, I can't look inside chicken or pig trucks on the highway because I know where they're going, and I don't look at dead deer along the road, heaven forbid I see a dog or cat as road kill. I could care less that our one chair is shredded from our girls, they are SO worth it, I can't think of a friend or family who I love more than my 2 felines, they break my heart everyday just by looking at me. It's ironic that as part of my employment, I carry weapons and pepper spray, if my co-workers knew my soft side, they would most likely run me out of town.

He is ill. The rescue posts updates at least daily. Tim is accumulating fluid around his lungs.
