Hi, gang. I just dropped by to let you know I'm thinking of you and your journey tomorrow, cyn. Big hugs to you both. This is one hurdle neither of you has wanted, but it's here and you're just about over it. I hope you feel relief when it's over.
just realize through all this pain you are their strength... Believe it or not it is harder to be the one watching and helping than the person experiencing it. They know this is temporary..and waiting for the better place. you are blessed to be able to help them get there. Believe...
Thanks everyone!
I also love the imaginary trip with you LL--I will dream the dream that dreamers dream!
I can't even imagine what it would feel like to go anywhere anymore and have "fun". Even before the ALS we had some pretty bad problems with family and fun just has not been a big part of our lives lately. DH has been pretty miserable all day today.. I know he is anxious--I'm about ready to slip him one of his anxiety pills but that just isn't right so guess we'll deal with is mood instead...sigh.....
He has not has anything good to say about anything...just ugh!
I too am hoping once this is over he will feel better and his mood will change. At least I will know he is getting the proper nutrients and that will give me some peace.
Still there is so much to face in our future---just wish I knew what to do right......One day at a time--one step at a time....
Indeed there is, dear Cyn, and all you can do is plan for the next step as you can and take it one day at a time....
I'm sure your DH is scared and anxious over this next big step, but hopefully he will feel better about it, and in general once he's got some strength built up..... this time tomorrow evening the surgery will be behind you!
I'm so sorry about your ongoing family problems too, that's the very last thing you need when you're facing your DH's illness...
Many prayers, as much positive energy as we can send you, and moral support as we can provide are coming your way.. I wish there was some way to take some of that burden from your shoulders- if the support and concern from afar could do such a thing..
I'll be thinking about you both, and praying for you tomorrow, that everything will go as planned, and DH will do well....
Thinking that about how DH's surgery is over and he is sleeping off the anesthesia. Hope all is going well, Cyn and DH!
