Well Mike, we were discussing endangering the public by discounting and manipulating science. I don’t agree Newsom is interested in being “punitive” to exercise and keep power. Because being punitive isn’t a path to holding power. But in any case, those actions you describe don’t endanger people’s lives.

There's no evidence that a vaccine cleared by the FDA would endanger anyone's lives and yet our governor is posturing as if that's a foregone conclusion, thus the appointed state approval board. Why do we need this unnecessary and redundant layer of validation? How bad will it look if California is way behind the curve for achieving immunity when we're forced to wait for evidence over and above existing evidence of its efficacy and safety? Those are the jobs of the FDA, not a group of specialists who only the governor is allowed to choose.
