A lot of people feel that he is overstepping and abusing his power as governor at this point.

Even more approve of his actions:
In CA: Newsom gets high approval rating in new poll
64% approval

One of the highest in the nation as a matter of fact.

That poll was taken a month ago. Do you have a more recent one?

Haha. Yeah, no. Nothing is required reading, friend. It seemed you hadn't heard this news so I linked right to FDA's press release. I don't actually need your opinion on the drug as, like me, you lack the expertise to "study up" on it to any degree greater than a pedestrian viewpoint. The link was just fyi.

What's more important is whether Newsom will change his tune on the drug, one he was praising a few months ago. Like you, he believes there's a conspiracy between Trump and the FDA and now that the FDA has given the green light to remdesivir, I'll just assume he can't trust that decision. Or at least, he can't do it with any conviction. But see, that's the problem (his) with making these things political.

No. Why don’t you take a turn and find one. Maybe you can show how 3 weeks or so turns him upside down

"Among those surveyed, 49% said that Newsom has done a good or excellent job handling the pandemic"

I've already told you that it's paranoid to think that a vaccine is going to be rushed through by an agency of the government which consists of people with reputations at stake, not to mention the same risk for whichever drug company comes up with it. Until there's some actual proof that FDA is acting recklessly, I'll continue to trust that they're operating normally. If you want to believe there's a conspiracy between the executive branch and subservient agencies, especially in the era of whistleblowers, feel free. We don't share an opinion and I'm fine with that.

And our governor is stoking the flames of uncertainty.
