You think the media is nuts? Here’s a couple examples of how nuts PEOPLE are:

Arkansas pastor claims church members willing to 'lick the floor' to prove coronavirus a hoax

The media are just covering nutty PEOPLE.
Good points. It seems the media hates Trump but true, they can’t influence the whole world. It just seems so odd with all the viruses and diseases HereOnMars pointed out, why is there such panic with this particular virus that isn’t even that deadly?

On the other hand, if Newsom said to self quarantine and people will be available to assist, does that mean everyone over 65 gets a personal valet? And since it’s the government, I’m sure they will be there timely and efficiently.

“Yes sir, you’re over 65 and need help getting your medication? We can have someone out there 3 weeks from Tuesday. Would that work for you?”

Cow urine, huh? Hmmm....

Well, anyone with any equitable moral decency hates Trump.

And yes, given past challenges, the reaction to this virus is certifiably insane. The disease is a nasty threat, to be sure. Vigorous responsible response on everybody’s parts is appropriate. Yet, as I pointed out previously: ½ million die from tobacco self-abuse annually. Drug and alcohol abuse. Where’s the panic?

PEOPLE are monkeys that can read. Reading doesn’t mean smart. Obviously.

Ah yes, Newsom's edict that those 65 and over stay home could be another employment opportunity for scammers.
I can hear the calls already: Hi, I work for the state of California and have been assigned to assist you with grocery shopping and other tasks. I only need your credit card and banking information along with ssn#. Additionally I can access your safe deposit box and also deposit valuables such as money and jewelry for you.
If possible I would use your car to run these errands for you. I would need the keys and title to ensure an above board transaction for you. Call right away before others take advantage of my services!

why hasn't anyone mentioned to the elected officials what Jason Yang, a PhD, MD from Stanford found on CV prevention in Taiwan and Singapore?

is California doing what Taiwan and Singapore have done to stop the spread of the virus?
they have 1 death and under 300 cases with a population of 29 million. Cali has 30 million.

there's 490 cases and 6 deaths in California as of March 16th morning.

Keep yourselves amused . And it’s not just Fiona in Cinncinati:

With Cincinnati Zoo closed, Fiona the hippo goes online ...

... The Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, California, and the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago are also closed and entertaining their online visitors.
“ Though @MontereyAq is closed, our webcams are still streaming. Until we reopen, you can check in on the sea otters, sway with the kelp forest, find tranquility with the jellies and look for wildlife out on Monterey Bay: https://mbayaq.co/39Xv9Ny
... Many zoos and aquariums, including the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, already have live polar bear cams, giraffe cams and elephant cams. There's nothing like a koala cam (if you can spot one) to cheer a koala lover up.

Newsom can bite me. Not literally because whatever’s in his mouth is likely worse than Corona.

Mutt, you took the words out of my mouth, so to speak. If we agree one more time I must see a doctor pretty soon.

So, he shouldn't have told them to try to stay home (it wasn't a flipping edict it was a recommendation) because some of them are stupid and might get scammed, are you serious?

My husband and I are in our 70's and we started staying home last week without anyone ordering us to because we knew we were at high risk for becoming seriously ill if we caught it. We have been to the store a few times but that's about it. No more dining out, going to the movies or the gym. Instead we've mapped out all of the county parks that we haven't yet been to and expect to visit them all during this time, and if we run out of places to go we will borrow a friends RV and spend some time camping on the coast.

So, speaking of your “get a life” comment: stuff it pal.

And I repeat: anyone with an equitable sense of moral decency hates Trump.

Taking it another step: among my most respected pundits / political analysts are:
#1 - David Brooks - conservative
George Will - conservative
Bill Kristol - conservative

I have voted for republicans in elections for both governorships and POTUS.
Again: stuff it.

As for the country needing to be run like a business? That is about as stupid a position as any ever expressed.

The purpose and function of business is to make money.

The purpose and function of government is to create order and protection for the safety of citizens and society.

The two functions are diametrically opposed - while also being necessarily symbiotic. They support each other critically. And neither one should be run like the other.

So stuff it.

Today we have a sizable segment of the electorate calling themselves conservatives ... who are not. They are faux-conservatives. Blindly ideological and too lazy to analyze each issue independently.

You appear to be one of those faux-conservatives.

“Ideologies are poor excuses for lazy intellects.”
You ought to copy and save this post somewhere. I swear you get called a socialist, communist, liberal or democrat about once a week. Save time and just paste this.

She mentioned something I'd never thought about until I read the comment from one of our members yesterday about using a bidet. She put a link in her description box for a portable bidet. As God as my witness, I've never seen one of those before. Had no idea such a thing existed. Of course, I had to check it out. Turns out they're quite popular and many of them have sold out. lol"

We have a 7-year old Airedale. He never used a bidet, not even once, albeit he popped a good one in the garage when I forgot to open the dog door.

If Tobi survives, so can I. We have a 2-acre vacant lot behind us with a pond and a creek, in the worst case.

Onto another subject, Mutt, how long would it take to convert your boat into a combat submarine? Would our gas leaf-blower work under water ? I missed school the day the subject was discussed, so I'd love to know.
