"Early days" meaning last year, sure. So what they're "reporting" on is already what's been out there.

More fear-mongering journo-bait.

Can the Governor tell all the people here with visas or some other form of temporary residency to leave? That would be useful at this time if we want a vector reduction. And a lot of Americans in the tech industry would appreciate no longer being undercut by people working on the cheap, who we really didn't need here in the first place.

As to meat, I think last time I ate fried meat (many years ago) was right before I read how, when they test cancer drugs, they cause cancer in lab mice using extractives from fried meat. This was enough. (I'm pretty sure in this or the next life these mice will have their revenge, torturing animals isn't a way to go).

For dinner is greek yogurt with some banana, goji berries, prunes, cocoa powder, walnuts and maple syrup...and some lentil stew... no I don't want no meat.
Honestly, no one except maybe your mother, cares what you eat.

It seems that we often hear of new COVID complications. It makes you wonder how many different strains of the virus are out there?

15 children are hospitalized with a mysterious illness that may be linked to the virus.

Fifteen children, many of whom had the coronavirus, have recently been hospitalized in New York City with a mysterious syndrome that doctors do not yet fully understand but that has also been reported in several European countries, health officials said on Monday night.

Many of the children, ages 2 to 15, have shown symptoms associated with toxic shock or Kawasaki disease, a rare illness in children that involves inflammation of the blood vessels, including coronary arteries, the city’s health department said.

None of the New York City patients with the syndrome have died, according to a bulletin from the health department, which described the illness as a “multisystem inflammatory syndrome potentially associated with Covid-19.”

COVINGTON, La. — The parents of a 12-year-old girl from the New Orleans area are overjoyed that their daughter has recovered from a near-death coronavirus infection.

Juliet Daly had barely made it to the hospital before she had a heart attack.

She was admitted into the emergency room on April 6, where doctors found she had a heart blockage that slowed her heart, causing cardiac arrest. Her heart stopped for two minutes before she was revived, intubated and airlifted to Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans

I imagine that some of us have had fantasies, even if brief, of escaping to a rural area.

70,446
people have died from coronavirus in the U.S.

The virus is not just an urban issue. Sparsely populated rural areas don’t have the huge raw numbers of cases or deaths that cities are reporting, but some rank highly in deaths and cases per capita. People in very rural areas are more likely to die of flu than urbanites and may be more vulnerable to covid-19 as well, according to a Post analysis of CDC data.

It's not going to be easy adjusting to a new normal. I'm still struggling with maneuvering normal-normal.
