Thanks everyone. It looks like I am going to pass on this one too then. I do go on Craigslist everyday, but I never find anything that I want locally. It seems all the older turbo cars are non-existent in Vegas. I did find this today. But it is way overpriced as it is worth no more than $1,200 IMO. Not only that, it is not what I really want.

be patient LVD. Don't jump at the first car you see. You are likely to make a mistake. Take your time and search for the right one. You will find 'it'

Yep, if you were going to go with a Miata cousin, I'd just get a Miata and mod it to suit. What about California as a resource to search for the vehicle? You would have to be sure it wasn't destroyed by a racer, but a decent, rust-free car, might exist in SoCal. Just a cursory glance by yours truly shows a rough Probe GT (pass on that one), an 86 Supra Turbo, a 2-owner 86 300Z Turbo that needs a bit of exhaust work and some brake work. So, it could be possible to find one there. Just a thought. You'll find something sooner or later.

Well, the Supra just sold for only $2,750. I think that was a good price, especially since I was will to pay up to $3,500 for it.

I wouldn't even pay $700 for it.

Now an older 5.0 Capri is a different story...
