I still have the OEM wipers, that's after 12 years and 127000 miles LOL! They seem to work.

Put them on last September and still going strong. Just wipe them down with alcohol wipes every month or so to clean them off. No streaks or clatter at all.

I buy mine when the premium brands go on sale at RockAuto.com for <$3 a set. I buy 2-3 sets for each vehicle and I go about replacing them about every 6 months. Have never had a "performance issue" since I started doing this 6-7 years ago.

I don't use the wipers that often because I keep a fresh coat of Rain-X on the window. Water starts to shear at 35mph and at 40mph it just flows away.

No issues with smearing when I do use the wipers.
