It's really only about 3 people in this forum that are so militant about it, and they post the same thing, over and over again.
I agree. I've actually run into one or two people that were militant about the superiority of German cars.
The same thing applies here it's not so much that their militant about the superiority of electric cars or during cars or their religion or whatever it's that you're wrong for not agreeing. I think they take it personally.
I remember talking to the militant guy about German cars. Now personally I've been an auto mechanic for 15 years, I've worked on every sort of car you can imagine in the United States. My advice to people who want a good well-made long-lasting car is not to buy a German car. When they get a little older they cost of Fortune to repair and keep going. this has to do with parts availability and the complexity of installing and changing them and then having to deal with the proprietary software sometimes you need to pay these companies for the privilege of fixing their vehicles.
He went on to tell me that I didn't know what I was talking about. I take this to be the smoker telling the doctor that the doctor doesn't know what he's talking about when he says you need to quit smoking in order to avoid lung cancer. They say this in the effort to continue believing and doing what they're doing. So they don't have to change or so they don't have to admit that maybe what they think is best isn't the absolute best for everyone.
yes I agree with you these people are few and far between but man do they make a lot of noise. It's why people don't like religion, it's white people a lot of the times avoid politics.
They can't make enough of them. Do you live out in the sticks somewhere?
No I don't need your help. If they can't make enough of them that's a problem isn't it? They can make enough Ford f-150s.
No I actually live in the fourth largest city in the US
He's an EV religious ZEALOT embracing going BACKWARDS in capability, convenience and practicality.
People often express zeal for their beliefs as an effort to convince themselves that their beliefs are correct. It's why the most zealous religious people are often not the most faithful.
it seems like a form of personal hypnotism. If you just evangelize hard enough maybe they'll believe their own statements.
