Hopefully now some Americans can get over their Anti-American beliefs about American cars. It's about time the Lansing plant recevied credit.

AMEN, Brent

I have driven an '07 CTS and it is one fantastic vehicle . . . obviously the '08's are even better.

American made went through a little slump and now were climbing back on top! This is just one example of Americans making quality again, I am really glad to see this. Even those punks on Top Gear were flabbergasted by the performance of the CTS-V when compared to the Audi A8 (i think it was the A8).

kind of funny, the new automobile had a short take on the new cts-v. i read the performance sidebar first which compared the old to the new; oh cool, hp & tq both went up about 150... and, oh, woops, the car also gained 450lbls to the portly side of 4300lbls. f-that. that's all i needed to know before i turned the page. and this is the SMALL one????

(and honestly this applies to all kinds of cars today including bmtroubleyous, mercedes, and everything else that disappoints me in this terrible way, but since caddy is the subject matter... )

This isn't hard. All Caddy had to do was not make a car that breaks all the time like BMW and Mercedes.

The CTS is a nice little package. I own a 06 and love it, actually its the wifes car. We had an 08 as a loaner while ours was in for repair, and I must say the redesigned 08 is a much better car then the previous models. I didnt want to return it. Caddy has been stepping up their game quite a bit.

I've never owned anything but an American car and am glad to see this. Of course my favorite Cadillacs are the big boats with the big engines from the late 60s to the mid 70s. Those were Cadillacs in the classic sense, but these days you have to settle for what you can get.

While Im glad to see some American companies FINALLY making improvements in quality, they need to focus on their smaller cars. Seems like GM only offers their good quality stuff with their luxury brands. The day that the Big 3 can make a small, affordable car that is quality stuff, that is the day Ill be impressed. Till then, Ill keep to my Toyotas and Hondas and whatnot.
