I had a '99 Chevy Lumina that had the infamous intake manifold gasket problem when it was 10 or 11 years old. It leaked antifreeze like a sieve and fortunately I got it repaired as quickly as I could and had only driven it a few miles to work and back and even rented a car for two weeks and let it sit until they could fix it. I could see the antifreeze in the oil by checking the oil cap and seeing the white film on it. The engine had no damage and we had it for another 4 years problem free until it was in a wreck. Don't drive it but you may still have escaped serious engine damage. Its a costly repair, it cost $800. Still, it was worth it since replacing the car would have been way more expensive.
If you get the work done to repair it, get the engine steam cleaned at the carwash to get rid of the antifreeze smell. For twenty bucks it made the engine bay look like new which would have been a big plus if we had wanted to sell the car.
