Someone asked how many miles it had. This car has 180,00 roughly. We bought it last fall after the head gasket in my 2001 Elantra blew and 3 days later, my son totaled his car. We were able to pay for it and not have a car payment, the body is in good condition and it runs smooth. We actually rebuilt the motor in my Elantra and I am driving it daily approx. 100 miles a day. I got it with 39,000 miles on it in 2005 and it has 205,000 now. I love my Elantra and my son is driving the Saturn. The Saturn gets a little bit better gas mileage, but I love my Elantra.
Thank you to everyone who posted. I truly appreciate all the input. Hope you all have a wonderful spring!!
i have a dodge stratus 2002 2.7L now what it dose is overheats and i pulled off oil cap and there is a little milkshake look to it on the bottem off the cap thats it it drives what would you think it would be the oil looks fine
Allen2016. You will get a much better response if you start your own thread.
However, it sounds like you may be getting coolant into the area of the engine that normally holds the oil and that's not good. Does the engine smoke at all? If so, it could be just a head gasket going bad.
16 year old Saturn with blown head gasket? I'd not throw too much money into whatever repair is necessary in fact it might be time to think about upgrading to a newer car.

That's not a problem. It's condensation.. Very common on some vehicles and the Dodge Stratus seems to be one of them. I have a Chevy Colorado that does the same thing.. Half the time when I have an oil change done at a quick lube place (Yes, I know, everyone just shut up) they come out and tell me there's water in my oil.. I even get rust on the dipstick there's so much condensate in the system.
So long as your oil itself is fine, nothing to worry about.

Now look what you've done. You resurrected a thread from 2014, and now we'll have 4 pages of people offering advice to the OP, even though she posted two years ago that the problem was solved, because nobody ever reads to the end of a thread before jumping in to show how smart they are.
Anyone want to take bets on how many pages this will go?
ok the person that that gave me the car 2002 dodge stratus let it overheat intel it would not start now it overheats when it gets hot and steam comes out of the coolant bleeder put new thermostat cant find out whats worng think its the heads
If your oil cooler is inside the radiator it could be mixing inside there. The he hs nut would he'd to do a leak test on the cooling system see where the coolant is mixing
