There was a company in Cleveland that took classic muscle cars and updated the brakes and suspension to new car standards. Like 4 wheel disc brakes and so on.
Not sure if they are still in business though.

There are many companies who do exactly that. At least three in my area alone, that I know of.

I know someone who owned a '68 Buick Electra 225. Four-door. White with a blue interior. Very comfortable and roomy and a big trunk.
A high school buddy had a green on green '72 225. We could easily fit 6-7 people in it, depending on how close we were willing to get. After having a new transmission put in it it would rip 10' of rubber on the 1-2 shift.
Bug-eyed Sprite. TR4, TR250. Original Mustang designs - but they brought those back, after a fashion, eh?
Nothing particular since. Although the early Honda Accords were damn good car for the money - value. Toyota Camrys are good value, too, but not as cheap up front as the Accords were the first few years - they went up the scale in a hurry.
Afaic, some of the best options in the past 30 years seem to be coming out now. New Ford Focus models, Mazda 3's are apparently finally getting engines with decent gas mileage to match their sporty appearance and performance.
The market has been missing some decent small-to-mid size proper hatchback/station wagon design for some time. Tried a VW - worst car I ever owned, by far. Subarus are too small in the cockpit - by far - although they might have finally caught on to that. Then you have SUV's. Gag me, sorry. The past few years have seen a few models coming back in this direction - but the styling has mostly been - well, in poor taste, imo.

Car companies have disappeared. Car models have ended. Most I don't care about. But there are a few I wish would reappear......
Since I am a GM/Chevy person I think the model I would like to see reborn is the Chevy Monte Carlo. I think if Chevrolet applied some of the great styling it has given the 2014 Impala, I believe the Monte Carlo could be a nice looking two door........
Bring back the Chevy Monza and the Ford Pinto !!!
